After China president Hu Jintao visiting Cameroon and other African 7 countries on this year’s February, Cameroon embassy in China observed the grand opening of “Cameroon-China economic and trade cooperation project Peace Garden promotion show” in King’s garden villa famous international landscape Peace Garden on April 12th, 2007.

　Diplomatic crops in China director as well as Cameroon ambassador in China H. E. MR. ELEIH-ELLE ETIAN, Cameroon Chairman of the chamber of commerce, Chairman of “thru Africa” business center , Chinese Foreign Ministry and Chinese Commerce Ministry leaders and more than 100 representatives from China large state-owned enterprises, banks, famous private enterprises, foreign-owned enterprises attended the meeting. The theme of the meeting was composed of 4 sections that Cameroon investment policy and commercial opportunities, energy sources and communication facilities construction, industrial projects, travelling and social communal facilities. The meeting atmosphere was extremely good. Each group’s principal gave the detailed introduction of Cameroon existing resource status, investment environment, preferential policy, entertain developing fields, existing developing status and supporting facilities. All the entrepreneurs raised their concerning problems in the respectively fields, including infrastructure construction, construction fishing and decoration, auto industry, port, fossil oil, electricity, electrical equipment, external trade .etc. The two countries hoped through the promotion show meeting to promote the friendship of two nations people, enhance mutual communication and understanding.
The activity also put China’s “go out” investment strategy’s moving forward in to practice. It chose the site of Peace Garden which has the reputation of small UN to hold the meeting, just because Peace Garden using it’s unique landscape stones showed the world ambassadors best wishes of world peace, cooperation, steady and win-win. It moved forward to show that Peace Garden is the platform of folk culture and economical communication between various countries and China.

The meeting lasted more than 4 hours in the kind discussion and passionate atmosphere. Until the night fell, the participants still had not given full expression to their views.
This time’s Cameroon-China economic and trade cooperation project Peace Garden promotion show was very successful, both the form and content were approved by the participants. The guests also visited Peace Garden gamely. The representative of Cameroon ambassador in China expressed gratitude to the old friend Li Ruohong who sponsor the activity, and they hoped Peace Garden would play more important role on the communication and cooperation between various countries governments and Chinese government.
