On the afternoon of August 4, Dr. Li Ruohong, Chairman of the China World Peace Foundation and President of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, was invited to attend Singapore's 58th National Day and the Armed Forces Day . During the event, the Ambassador of Singapore to China, H.E.Mr.Chen Haiquan, said: "Without the contributions of our international partners and everyone present today, the story of Singapore's successful development could not have become a reality." The Ambassador finally summarized Singapore's cooperative relationship with its international partners with 32 words such as "mutual respect despite cultural difference,friendship and sincerity,for mutually beneficial outcomes;seeking common ground while reserving differences,for harmonious relations; pragmatic cooperation and develop together".
Dr. Li Ruohong had exchanges with the ambassador and counselor on topics of concern to China and Singapore during the event.
