Dr. Li Ruohong collaborated with UNESCO to hold the "35th Anniversary of the Silk Road Programme" commemorative conference and a series of activities on April 6th. The outstanding appearance and voice of Chinese NGOs in the international community have won high praises from the conference. This year marks the tenth anniversary of China's initiative of the " Belt& Road". In their speeches, Assistant Director General H.E.Ms.Ramos of UNESCO, Director of the UNESCO World Heritage Center H.E.Mr. Lazare Eloundou Assomo, Ambassador H.E.Mr.Jin Yang of the Chinese Mission to UNESCO, and President Li Ruohong of the China World Peace Foundation ,called on all countries to work together to promote people to people and cultural exchanges and peaceful public welfare actions of the "Silk Road". The event host, H.E.Ms.Ramos, expressed special gratitude to the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation for its long-term support. Accompanied by the Chinese delegation, Dr.Li Ruohong watched the exhibition and performances. Dr. Li Ruohong also introduced the application  of Beijing Central Axis for cultural heritage and the concept of continuous cooperation in the development of the Silk Road cultural heritage to his old friend, the director of World Heritage Center, H.E.Mr. Lazare and Ambassador H.E.Mr.Jin Yang respectively. He also had friendly exchanges with the ministers of Central Asian countries and ambassadors from multiple diplomatic missions to UNESCO.
