At noon on November 9, Dr. Li Ruhong, President of the China World Peace Foundation and the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, attended a farewell reception hosted by the Cuban Embassy in China for Minister Counselor Ms. Quesada. More than 50 VIP guests attended the event, including Cuban ambassadors, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, former Chinese ambassadors to Cuba, representatives of Latin American and Caribbean missions in China, experts and scholars.

In order to acknowledge Ambassador Pereira and Minister Quesada of the Cuban Embassy in China for their contribution in promoting Sino-Cuban friendship, the Silk Road and world peace, Dr. Li awarded them the medals of "Peace Ambassador".

The participants had a friendly interaction on the peaceful development between China, Latin American & Caribbean countries.
