Rishab Nandi, a student of Class Ⅸof DBMS English School, BH Area, Jamshedpur has been awarded the second prize in the international photo contest “Youth Eyes on Silk Roads” in the 14-17 years category. This contest was organized by UNESCO in collaboration with the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation (BIPCF) and the award ceremony along with the exhibition of selected photographs was held at the Kempinski Hotel at Beijing on September 21, 2018. It was attended by a large number of guests including the ambassadors and diplomats of different countries apart from delegates of UNESCO and BIPCF.
Rishab Nandi was the only one invited from India where he got the opportunity to meet and interact with the international jury and also with the famed National Geographic photographer and explorer Reza Deghati.
Rishab was awarded a Cannon EOS 77d digital camera along with the Canon EF 18-200mm lens + a tripod and a certificate as the prize apart from an all-expenses paid trip to Beijing.
