On December 16, Dr. Li Ruohong, president of China World Peace Foundation and Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation paid a visit to the new Tunisian ambassador to China, H.E.Mr. Dhia Khaled, with his spouse.

Dr. Li shared with the ambassador that the foundation has enjoyed a close and successful cooperative relation with Tunisia and suggested taking finance, aviation and tourism as key areas for future development. Their discussion covered a raft of topics from the change and transition of Tunisian government, Tunisian’s open mindedness to cuisine culture, from Tunisia’s strategic location to its national heroes and eminent figures.

Mr. Khaled also expressed wishes to establish a Sino-Tunisia friendship and cooperation association with China World Peace Foundation to cement the friendship between the two peoples, advance cultural exchanges and achieve common prosperity. Dr. Li gave the ambassador a scarf as a token of friendship, which he said he would wear when presenting his credential to President Xi on Monday.
