China World Peace Foundation talks with Mayor of Niksic

The Balkan Club of Peace composed of 12 Balkan countries specifically invited China World Peace Foundation led by Mr. Li Ruohong to join them in the Balkan Peace Forum from 9th to 11th of May.As a principal speaker, Mr. Li Ruohong, chairman of China World Peace Foundation made a speech, he introduced China World Peace Foundation and Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation and its positiveeffects on the international community by working with a “peace+1”diplomatic farewell mode. He pointed out: “becauseof the differences in terms of culture, natural resources and economic development that the world demonstrates and of the threats of war, terrorism,climate change, food insecurity etc, a new global order should be established,and the world peace should be promoted together by people who love peace”. To make peace, people need to work handin hand, to support and help each other, and to unite all the strengths”Mr.Li Ruohong said, “in the cause of the world peacewe come and work together, we will make a historical contribution to the world.”

Delegates from five continents were: Mrs. Tawakkol Karmen from Yemen , world’syoungest Nobel Peace Prize winner; Mr. Malik Obama from Kenya, the brother ofPresident Obama; Mr. Carlos Peralta, Chairman of “Peaceand Sport” of Switzerland. Mr. Zolzaya Ganbold, representative of the Mongolian Organization of Peace and Friendship; students and teachers from the United World Colleges (UWC).

After the meeting, all members signed the Peace Declaration.

During the forum, thedelegation led by Mr. Li Ruohong, Chairman of China World Peace Foundation, andby Mr. Guo Song, member of board of Beijing International Peace CultureFoundation met with the President of Montenegro, Mayors of the Montenegro Capital Podgorica and of Niksic. They conducted a friendly communication on theeconomic and cultural cooperation between two countries as well as on the peaceactions in the Balkan region. Mr. Miomir Mugosa, the Mayor of Podgoricaremembered the peace stones at the Peace Garden of China, as he visited China World Peace Foundation accompanied by the Montenegro ambassador to China inSeptember 2009, he expressed his appreciation for the contribution that ChinaWorld Peace Foundation has made to the global Peace.
