To celebrate the Sun’s Day of DPR Korea, a 3days Cultural Exhibition of DPRK was cohosted by China World Peace Foundation,Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, DPRK Embassy to China and DPRK Administrationof Overseas Exhibition from April 3 to 6, 2014. Over 100 guests attended theopening ceremony at Peace Garden Museum on the 3rd of April. Speeches weregiven by H.E. Mr. Ji Jea Ryong, DPRK Ambassador to China and Mr. Li Ruohong, Chairmanof China World Peace Foundation. Mr. Wang Zhiguo, former Vice Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce; Mr. Zhao Jiaqi,President of Beijing Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Mr. WuShimin, leader of Beijing People's PoliticalConsultative Conference; Mr. Guo Song, former Director General of BeijingInvestment Promotion Bureau, and guests from othercountries like Maldives, Haiti, Canada and Congo attended the Opening Ceremony.  

On behalf of China World Peace Foundation andBeijing International Peace Culture Foundation Mr. Li Ruohong made a speech. Hesaid: we have been working for quite a long time with governments of differentcountries and international organizations to serve the world by practicing‘peace plus one’ public welfare mode. Our foundation has established friendshipassociations with many countries including DPRK. We use our unique roleadequately and actively to have cultural exchanges in broad contents andvarious ways which enabled us to innovate modes of development and cooperation,and to build up a strong friendship bridge for peace diplomacy betweengovernments and people of different countries.

China and DPR Korea are neighbouringcountries with long history and rich culture. Korean artworks perfectly integraterealistic in to freehand brushwork techniques (which are similar to Chineseartworks) in expressing their unique ethnic sentiments. Those are greatlyappreciated by the Chinese people. This exhibition has diplayed the livelihoodand society development of DPRK people, demonstrated theenthusiasm and praise for their life through their realistic, unique,vivid andskillful technique. Over 40 photos, 60 paintings, 1000 books and over 100 pieces of handmade artworks which reflect the contemporaryKorean culture were shown on the exhibition.
